This month, we will hear from Daniel Yukelson, Executive Director of the Apartm ent Association of Greater Los Angeles (AAGLA). Dan will bring us up to da te on current conditions within the multifamily housing market; recently p assed legislation regarding residential rental housing; laws that are curre ntly proposed; City of L.A. and other regional regulations; and upcoming b allot initiatives. He’ll also speak about the new “mansion tax” (Measure ULA) that City of L.A. voters recently approved but is now being challenged by AAGLA and others.
About Our Speaker:
Daniel Yukelson is the Executiv e Director of the Apartment Association of Greater Los Angeles (AAGLA). As Certified Public Accountant, Yukelson began his career at Ernst & Young , the global accounting firm, and had served in senior financial roles prin cipally as Chief Financial Officer for various public, private and start-up companies. Prior to joining AAGLA, he served as the Chief Financial Office r for Oasis West Realty, the owner of the Beverly Hilton Hotel and Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills where he was involved in the planning, construction a nd opening of the Waldorf Astoria. Prior to that, he was the Chief Financia l Officer for 15-years of Premiere Radio Networks, the largest U.S. radio n etwork. Yukelson also served as a Planning Commissioner for 6-years in the City of Beverly Hills and was Chair of the commission for one year.
