UCLA’s Master of Applied Economics Distinguished Speaker series is featuring guest speaker, Philip Lane, Chief Economist and Executive Board Member, European Central Bank, who will be discussing "'Globalization and Monetary Policy." 

Philip Lane is the Chief Economist and Executive Board Member of the European Central Bank (ECB). Before joining the ECB in 2019, he was the Governor of the Central Bank of Ireland and the Whately Professor of Political Economy at Trinity College Dublin. He was awarded a Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University.
