Financial Analyst for a Leading Charter School Organization

Our client is a leading charter school organization dedicated to transforming the face of public education in historically under-served areas. They are known for providing an empowering support network, innovative and customized teaching methods, and community outreach. They are seeking a Financial Analyst to support their finance team in various daily operations of school budgeting and strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities:- Work closely with the finance team to develop a strategic plan and create reoccurring financial presentations to the Board of Directors- Learn and understand the organization’s funding models and sources, expenses, and discover opportunities for new funding- Work to develop and execute dashboards for performance metrics and their insights- Implementation of strategic planning initiatives for organizational efficiency- Create multi-year financial projection models for financial statements and individual school and organization wide budgets and forecasts with schools and business managers on a bottoms-up basis- Learn the ins and outs of State and Federal Education funding

Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree, required- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in finance, accounting, statistics, or a related field- Ability to create financial models, analyze data from these models and reports, and come up with creative insights and suggestions for improvement- Ability to work with a variety of departments and contacts, from home office employees to on-site staff at the schools- Strong sense of integrity, ethics, and a drive for achievement- Desire for personal and professional growth, with a passion for helping the organization reach its goal of supporting academia in disadvantaged areas
