Our client is a world class, state-of-the-art manufacturer of precision machine components for the aerospace and defense industries. They are seeking a CFO to provide leadership, direction, and management of the finance and accounting team, as well as serve as a partner to the executive team regarding the overall strategy of the firm.
Responsibilities:- Creatively manage cashflow in an environment with significant cashflow considerations; payment terms don’t typically align with the upfront COGS expenditure- Oversee all accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting functions- Manage and coordinate all accounting functions (G/L, A/P, A/R, P/R, taxes, fixed assets, budgeting) including all aspects of the monthly, quarterly and annual closes- Develop investor reporting templates and processes, oversee preparation of waterfall calculations and partnership distributions- Coordinate annual tax returns and liaise with external CPA on complex accounting issues- Oversee treasury management functions and the balance sheets of the Company and partnerships- Prepare investor and lender funding and draw requests- Coordinate with the Company’s insurance consultant to manage all insurance requirements and programs at the property, Company, and portfolio levels.
Requirements:- BA/BS in the field of Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field- CPA designation and/or a graduate degree (MBA, MAcc, MBT) are preferred- 8+ years of relevant experience (manufacturing environment or aerospace industry, a big plus)- Solid understanding of job costing, creating budgets, putting financial audits/controls in place, implementing ERP systems (knowledge of Syspro a plus), etc.- Creative thinker with a strong intellect and the ability to make quick decisions in an effective manner- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple direct reports, foster teamwork, and build relationships.
