Meet the speaker: Dr. Joseph Greenfield

Dr. Joseph Greenfield is the Vice President and Chief Forensic Examiner at Maryman & Associates Inc. and an award-winning educator. He is a renowned computer forensics expert with over 15 years of investigative experience, including cyber breach investigations, employee misconduct, and email recovery and analysis. He has worked over 1000 cases and analyzed over 2000 digital evidentiary items. He is also an Associate Professor of Practice at the University of Southern California, where has taught digital forensics and cybersecurity for over 18 years. He build the undergraduate digital forensics program as well as co-authored the interdisciplinary Bachelor of Arts in Intelligence and Cyber Operations.

The presentation will be “Anatomy of a Data Breach.”  When you get a letter informing you that your personal information has been compromised, you’re at the final stages of a data breach.  This presentation will discuss the inside story – how a breach is discovered, what the company and its advisors do, and the decisions that are made along the way.
